At La Paz Spanish School, we offer programs tailored to different learning goals and schedules. Each package is designed to ensure real progress in Spanish, with the choice of living with a host family or without.

Whichever option you choose, upon completion you will receive a diploma of participation, signed and sealed by the School's Board of Directors.

La Paz Spanish School is duly authorized by the Ministry of Education of Guatemala (MINEDUC) to provide quality academic programs in accordance with national educational regulations.

We are also accredited and registered with the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT), ensuring that our programs meet the standards required to host both national and international students.

Intensive Package

5 hours of Spanish per day Accelerated learning to achieve significant progress in a short time. Covers grammar, conversation, listening comprehension, and writing, with engaging and interactive classes.

• With host family: Full immersion experience, practicing Spanish both in class and in daily life.

• Without host family: Ideal for those who prefer to arrange their own accommodation while keeping a fast learning pace.

4 hours of Spanish per day Balanced pace that combines formal study with free time to explore the city or join cultural activities.

• With host family: Continuous cultural and language practice through shared meals and local traditions.

3 hours of Spanish per day Flexible option for those who want to learn at a relaxed pace while enjoying everything Xela has to offer.

• With host family: Extended learning beyond the classroom through daily interaction with the family.

Kindergarten Volunteer Program

At La Paz Spanish School, we offer a volunteer program for students during their stay in Xela. This program involves supporting a local kindergarten — a preschool for children aged 3 to 6 — where they receive care, early education, playtime, and lots of love.

If volunteers wish to continue their support even after returning home, there are many meaningful ways to stay involved — sending educational materials, books, or letters, helping promote the project, or contributing virtually.

This program offers a powerful opportunity to engage with the local community, practice Spanish in a real-world setting, and create a lasting impact that goes beyond borders
